Who are Members of CSI and How Can I Join?

Members of CSI include architects, engineers, construction specifiers, interior designers, construction product suppliers, contractors, building owners, facility managers, academic professors, and architectural and construction students in the areas in which you work and live. CSI is the only professional organization in the construction industry that brings all parties involved in the built environment together.

One of the purposes of CSI is to offer ongoing education and certification programs resulting in increased knowledge of products, skills, and documentation requirements throughout all aspects of the construction industry.

Professional Membership is awarded to those involved with design.
Industry Membership is awarded to builders, contractors, and material suppliers
Associate Membership is awarded to others involved in the construction industry.

Membership is awarded to individuals only. Membership for organizations or firms is not available. Click here to download a membership application:

The dues for membership vary with the chapters. The Charlotte CSI Chapter has the following dues structure:

Chapter dues include cost of meals at all nine (9) regular chapter meetings and the annual holiday party.

All Institute and Chapter dues are paid directly to Institute.

Membership Drive Contest (Fall 2010)

In efforts to recruit new members and regain former CSI members, the Charlotte Chapter Membership Committee has finalized details on its Membership Drive Competition. The top three (3) chapter members who sponsor the most CSI Charlotte Chapter members by December 31, 2010 will be awarded cash prizes in January 2011. Qualifying members include new members and former members who have paid Chapter and Institute dues in full by December 31, 2010. All Membership Applications and dues should be sent directly to the Institute for processing, as usual. Prize amounts will be announced at our August meeting!

Please note: Sponsors must sign the Membership Application in the space provided at the bottom of the application. When you sponsor someone, please inform Sandy Carter, Membership Chairperson, and Bob Poole, Chapter President, of your prospective CSI member , so the you will be given proper credit towards the competition.
